The History
Frances and Gaetano Giuliano's goal was to bring the tradition of classic Italian cuisine to southern California. In 1952, Giuliano's in Gardena opened its doors for the first time, presenting only the now famous torpedo sandwich. As the years passed, Frances & Gaetano's ambitious vision of preparing everything fresh had been achieved. Whether it's potato salad, spaghetti sauce, eclairs, cookies, meatballs or sausage, Mr. & Mrs. Giuliano made sure it was fresh and inexpensive. Now, almost 60 years later, Giuliano's in Gardena is the only Giuliano's that features multiple generations of Frances & Gaetano's descendants. While other establishments can be applauded in their attempts to satisfy the hungriest of customers, only the children, grandchildren' and eventually great grandchildren are able to honor Frances & Gaetano's classic Italian tradition of freshness, quality and fair pricing. Open 362 days a year (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day) and satisfying thousands of hungry people daily, Giuliano's heads into their next 60 years of proudly serving the people of southern California and beyond. |
